How has your season been going so far?
As fans it’s probably been a bit better than what we expected to be honest! Losing to both Barrow and Tranmere from sloppy mistakes really highlights how well we have been playing and at home we have been a different class! 3/3 at home and we have scored some unbelievable goals and it’s really carrying on that fortress feel from last season.
And what would you say your ambitions are for the rest of the campaign?
Well I think any fan wants their team to finish as high as possible and after the first five games if you speak to most fans they would probably say that the top half is realistic and there is no reason, with Dave Challinor in charge that we can’t keep pushing up the league table!
How is your form coming into the game?
I think overall we’re in good shape. We’ve definitely lacked a goalscorer and we can’t just rely on young 19 year old Will Goodwin but we’re definitely playing some good football.
Stand out player has been Tyler Burey but unfortunately he pulled up injured against Tranmere last Saturday and has returned to Millwall (his parent club) for treatment.
How do you think you’ll setup for our game?
5-3-2 usually but this may change with injuries in the last couple of games.
Any weak links in your side?
Teams that like to play on the deck.
Who are your standout players?
Nicky Featherstone, Gary Liddle, Jamie Sterry and Gavan Holohan but I could name a few more easily.
Tyler Burey as mentioned is injured.
Think we will bounce back from Tranmere with a win based on the type of squad we have assembled who hate losing and also our home form has been exceptional. Think we will go for a 2-1 win!
Where do you think you’ll be come the end of the season?
Think we will be top half as long as we maintain the incredible home form and can pick some points up on the road.
