Opposition view Leyton Orient (H)

Before we look at the game, could you give us a memory from previous games against the Gas?

The game that is memorable for me (Paul) for the wrong reasons, was a trip to BR, I believe it was an FA Cup game. Got stuck on the motorway and arrived 20 mins late. Think we lost. Terrible times.

How has your season been going so far?

We’re pleasantly surprised as there was some concern amongst the fan base about the quality of signings we’d made in the summer. We look solid at the back and dangerous going forward. Can’t really complain at being fourth can we. In Kenny we trust.

And what would you say your ambitions are for the rest of the campaign?

Many fans (and the board) are expecting a good season which means either playoffs (as a minimum) or automatic (ideally).

How is your form coming into the game?

We’ve only lost 1 league game all season which was against Harrogate. Just a blip. Last weekend we comfortably beat Oldham without really getting going and having gained a point against last season’s play off contenders Newport and a convincing performance and result against Bradford prior to that, we are full of confidence.

Kenny Jackett has tried different formations and the players have all adapted to them very well.

How do you think you’ll setup for our game?

The last couple of games we’ve gone 3-5-2/5-3-2.

So 3 central defenders and wing backs.

KJ isn’t afraid to have the team play out from the back or go route one! He’ll definitely keep the opposition management guessing.

Any weak links in your side?

Nobody stands out as weak…never thought we’d be saying that.

Who are your standout players?

Theo Archibald is dangerous, striker Harry Smith is a threat and we have wing backs who like to get forward and supply our forwards.

Must also give Aaron Drinan a mention as his pace is electric and can come alive if he sniffs an opportunity.

Game prediction

We’re doing well and you’re struggling at the moment so we’ll go with an Orient win.

Where do you think you’ll be come the end of the season?

Top half of the table is a minimum. Realistically expectations are play offs and when many fans saw that we’d signed Kenny Jackett, automatic was a minimum.
